The Scariest Part: Finding My First Paying Customer

The Goal Is Simple—But Not Easy

My goal today is the same as it was yesterday—and the day before that: get one paying customer.

That’s it. One.

But I’ve got to be honest: this is the part of the journey where I’ve always struggled. It’s the part that scares me the most. I can create products. I can design, build, write, and plan. But turning all of that into a paying relationship? That’s where I freeze.

Time to Call in Reinforcements

So here’s what I’m doing differently: I’m bringing in the pros.

I’m calling on friends. I’m asking for help. I’m leaning on AI. And if you’re reading this and you’ve got a suggestion, I’m all ears. Because I desperately want to succeed.

I’ve built a prioritized list of all my products, and it’s becoming clear which ones are rising to the top. That gives me hope. It means I can focus. I don’t need to chase everything—I just need to find one customer for one product.

Research, Learn, Repeat

To do this right, I’m making time to research:

  • What are the right questions to ask?
  • What similar products are out there, and how are they finding customers?
  • What patterns can I learn from?

This isn’t rocket science. Other people have figured it out—and I believe I can too.

Right Time. Right Mindset. Right Resources.

Here’s the best part: I have the time. I have the energy. And I have the tools to make this work right now. That’s a rare combination, and I don’t want to waste it. This is my opportunity to finally break through the wall that’s stopped me in the past.

So here I am—focused, scared, hopeful—and absolutely committed to finding that first customer.
